Hello Simson freunde, first of all I would like to apologise for typing in English, I'll try to type a German version too.
So I have a s70 - 44.98 kolben, kolben skirt is 38 mm, how wide can I make the einlass if it has a hole - I think 35 mm would be okay, 1.5 mm on both sides for guidance? It's a membraner. Second question - what positioning should the kolben hole to the einlass have? I read that it must be a bit closer to the kolbenring than the middle of the piston? Thanks for the answers, greetings.

Hello.
Don`t worry about the english- lots of user`s here understand it and can answer. Most I like the translation of Kolbenrock
Normally 1,5mm on both sides of the piston is ok, you do like this on a cylinder without reed valve because there you are already in trouble to get the intake port as big as you need. In a cylinder with reed valve you normally dont have this trouble because you can make it much higher- so in my opinion I would not make the intake so wide and give him some more guidance on the side.
On what position you make the hole in the piston also dont effect so much the performance. But if you make it more higher (near the rings) you make the piston more stiff and avoid braking of the piston (we have seen a lot of pistons which was broken on that side!). Also you lubricate the upper needle cage better like this.Regards

Alright, thank you for the quick reply. I was thinking about 1.5 mm, because when I'm using a reed valve I don't really need to be sealing the crankcase, since I'm making a hole in the piston. 1.5 mm I think should be sufficient, any less might cause problems. I'm going to be taking the cylinder off today and will order jbweld to change the uberstromer flushing angles (horizontal and vertical), because when I made the cylinder I didn't think of the importance. Anyone has experience with jbweld in the uberstromer? I can show some pictures of the cylinder after I'm done.
Also what is the correct translation of piston skirt? I hope I didn't write as bad as google translate.
Mfg Jordan. -
Hello Jordan,
welcome to the SF.net.
The correct translation of Pistonskirt is Kolbenhemd.
The Meaning in english of the Kolbenhemd is like a Skirt:
The difference in German is, thats the Meaning is like a shirt:
So you can see, there are two different meanings in two different Languages and this is the funny point, why the Pistonskirt is directly translatet to Kolbenrock
When you translate it directly from german to english, it has to be called Pistonshirt. So you make the english people laugh. You can read more about that at: http://www.ithinkispider.com. But i think, its only funny for german People, because they understand the meaning of this sentences.
Your translation is good and understandable, German is a very difficult language.
From which country do you come when I may ask? -

Zitat von HerrSchmidt
JB Weld works fine.
But i would set two steel pins for more grip.
Hello, I will definitely do that, it looks like a good method, although I'm going to use it on top of uberstromer. Don't know if you can see but the flushing angle is too big vertically, I guess it affects performance.
I will upload a port map soon and if you want more pictures to give me areas to improve upon.
I'm from Bulgaria and never studied Deutsch, used google translate and translated word by word.
Hallo, Ich werde das machen. Meine horizontal und vertikalwinkel, wenn du siehst in der bilder sind schlecht. Ich werde hochladen portmap bilder bald. Wenn sie haben tipps zur verbesserung der zylinder ich ware froh von dir zu horen.
Mfg Jordan
